All teaching resources, workbooks, documents, and materials sold or distributed by Kate Languages (“the Materials”) are the original work of Kate Clifton and remain her exclusive intellectual property. The Materials are protected by UK and international copyright law.

All written content, exercises, answer keys, explanations, and instructional text within the Materials are created by Kate Clifton. All images used within the Materials are sourced from Unsplash.com and are used in accordance with the Unsplash licence.

Purchasing or downloading the Materials does not transfer ownership or copyright to the purchaser. You are purchasing a personal, non-exclusive licence to use the Materials as set out below.

Permitted Uses

Your purchase grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Materials as follows:

You may print and photocopy the Materials for use with your own individual students or classes.
You may use the Materials in your own teaching, tutoring, or lesson planning.
You may share digital or printed copies of the Materials with colleagues within the same school or educational setting where you work, provided this is for non-commercial, classroom use only.
You may retain a copy of the Materials for your own professional reference.

Restrictions

The following uses are strictly prohibited at all times:

Selling, reselling, or otherwise distributing the Materials for commercial gain.
Sharing the Materials — in whole or in part, digitally or in print — with staff at other schools, including schools that are part of the same multi-academy trust (MAT) or federation. Each school or setting requires its own purchase.
Uploading the Materials to any third-party platform, resource-sharing website, school intranet accessible by other institutions, or shared drive accessible beyond your own setting.
Reproducing, adapting, or repackaging the Materials to create derivative works for sale or distribution.
Removing, altering, or obscuring any copyright notices, branding, or attribution within the Materials.
Using the Materials in any AI training dataset, language model training, or automated content generation system.

Multi-Academy Trust & School Groups

Where a purchaser is part of a multi-academy trust (MAT), federation, or group of schools, this licence applies to a single named school or setting only. It does not extend to other schools within the trust or group, even where staff share access to common systems, drives, or platforms.

If you wish to licence the Materials for use across multiple schools within a trust or federation, please contact Kate Clifton at [email protected] to discuss a multi-site licence arrangement.

Digital Files & Downloads

Following purchase, your resource will be available to download from your account library on katelanguages.co.uk as many times as you need. You are responsible for keeping your account login details secure.

You may share your account login details with colleagues at your own school or setting. You must not share your account access with staff at other schools, including those within the same multi-academy trust or federation.

Breach of Licence

Any use of the Materials beyond the scope of this licence constitutes copyright infringement and a breach of these terms. Kate Clifton reserves the right to take appropriate legal action in the event of misuse, including seeking damages and injunctive relief under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.
